Water skiers everywhere know the name and reputation of Robin Lake at Georgia's Callaway
Gardens. To most, it is the home of the Masters and Junior Masters Water Ski Tournaments. To others,
it is the center of water skiing dreams. Some say the waters of Robin Lake are special, magical or maybe
even spiritual! At the very least, reserved for only a special few.....until now!
On July 8, 2011, Callaway Gardens and Robin Lake will be the site of the first ever combined
Georgia State and Tennessee State Water Ski Tournament. a.k.a The Ga/Tn State Water Ski Challenge.
For 2 1/2 days, skiers will compete for individual and overall titles by state in traditional 3-Event water
skiing. Saturday night will include a special Junior Awards Banquet. The tournament is being co-sponsored
by the Georgia and Tennessee Water Ski Federations and is open to only Georgia and Tennessee
residents. Callaway Gardens and Robin Lake Beach will be open to the public.
